Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Progressive Care Unit in Temple, TX. This 38-bed Telemetry unit requires a high level of clinical skill and teamwork on nights.

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with varied traumatic and surgical needs, in a setting that emphasizes safety and evidence-based practice. We offer competitive pay, relocation assistance for full-time candidates, tuition reimbursement, and a strong governance

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required.
• Active RN License.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit (5 North) for Adults and Geriatrics.
• Care for post-ICU trauma patients and complex surgical cases on a high-acuity unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Full Time – 36 hours per week - Nights

Unit Summary

This is a 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit. Working on 5 North gives you the unique opportunity to work with both Adults and Geriatrics. Working on 5 North, you can expect your clinical skills to become greater than ever imagined due to the high acuity of patients and verities of scope which include:

• Post ICU Trauma patients (serious injury to 2 or more body systems)
• Traumatic Intra-Thoracic injury, intrabdominal injury, and complex fractures
• Traumatic Musculoskeletal Wounds
• Complex Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy
• Bariatric Surgery
• Colorectal Surgery (bowel malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease)
• Thoracic Surgeries- lobectomy, Esophagostomy
• Urology- Prostatectomy
• Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery
