Position Summary:

The incumbent is a professional caregiver responsible and accountable for a patient assignment through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and collaboration with other healthcare team members. The role involves providing holistic care to patients and their support systems, with an awareness of cost containment and time management.

Qualifications

Offering a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and relocation assistance for qualified nurses (External applicants only)

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year recent open heart OR critical care experience. Training with one year of Telemetry or Step Down experience may be considered if operational conditions permit.
• Completion of basic critical care and dysrhythmia classes for training positions.
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Verbal and written communication skills, and computer proficiency.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (must be through the American Heart Association).
• PALS certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of 12-lead EKG and shock class preferred.
