Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking Med-Surg nurses to provide front-line patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Louisiana. This role emphasizes compassionate, hands-on nursing across diverse patient populations with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Position includes night shifts and eligibility for a sign-on bonus based on experience. The team prioritizes patient-centered care, collaboration, and adherence to Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current PALs certification.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure direct patient care.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team for events or concerns.
• Deliver wound prevention and treatment.
• Ensure infection control and care environment requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care, throughput, and clear communications.
• Educate patients and families using appropriate resources.
