Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse at West Jefferson Medical Center in Louisiana to join a collaborative care team on the night shift. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care while coordinating tasks with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other caregivers.

The role requires an active Louisiana nursing license and a current BLS certification. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available along with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Prioritize and coordinate care for assigned patients
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the appropriate members of the care team
• Safely perform nursing procedures and follow established standards of care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities appropriately
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Deliver effective handoffs to promote continuity of care
• Maintain a safe environment while following infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
• Continue developing your nursing knowledge and skills
