Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs per regulations and facility policies.
• Promotes holistic care using the nursing model.
• Ensures policy compliance by nursing staff.
• Participates in admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status and informs physician and family, documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to the medical record and carries out orders.
