Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its transfer center team in Pittsburgh. Working in a high-volume call center, you will be the primary contact for referring physicians and providers, triaging complex requests and coordinating patient transfers with AHN's clinical teams to ensure safe and timely care.

You will review EHRs, obtain verbal reports, prioritize bed placement, and support both clinical and non-clinical staff to optimize throughput and patient

Qualifications

• Active PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Associates or Diploma in Nursing (or higher) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of patient care for adult and pediatric transfers with the Transfer Center team.
• Facilitate throughput and bed assignment within the AHN network based on clinical needs.
• Identify and prioritize the needs of incoming callers for patient-centered support.
• Utilize multiple software platforms and a multi-channel phone system to maintain patient records.
• Monitor AHN department boards and document updates in the EHR until transfer is finalized.
