Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center seeks a Telemetry RN to direct, plan and organize nursing activities on the Telemetry unit with a focus on patient, physician and staff needs. The RN supports patient care under the direction of the Medical Staff in alignment with the hospital's mission.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active Louisiana nursing license, and BLS within 30 days; ACLS within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana Nursing License in good standing.
• Experience in Telemetry nursing is preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification expected within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and organize nursing activities on the Telemetry unit.
• Support medical care of patients under direction of Medical Staff.
• Address patient, physician, and staff needs on the Telemetry unit.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Telemetry RN is responsible and accountable for directing, planning, and organizing the nursing activities on the Telemetry unit with a focus on patient, physician and staff needs. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Louisiana Nursing License in good standing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in Telemetry desired
• BLS is required within 30 days of the hire date.
• All other certifications are due within 90 days of the hire date, i.e., ACLS.
