St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center in New York is seeking a flexible Emergency Department Float Pool Registered Nurse for a part-time role. You will provide high-quality care across nursing units based on daily hospital needs and attend a full two-week Monday–Friday orientation.

Qualifications

We are seeking a flexible, highly skilled Emergency Department (ED) Float Pool RN to join our nursing team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality, adaptable care across various nursing units based on daily hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

Requirements

• Passion for Cardiology
• 1+ years of experience
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: ACLS and BLS required from the American Heart Association

Salary Range

USD $58.16 - USD $83.99 /Hr.
