The RN Team Lead provides clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes. This role serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and team leader to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned areas.
The RN Team Lead Serves as a team leader, clinical resource, mentor, and role model for staff. Provides direct patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. Leads and mobilizes the care team to support positive patient outcomes. Facilitates effective communication and resolves operational issues within the work group. Supports staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. Participates in performance evaluations and contributes to development planning. Assists with staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to ensure adequate coverage. Collaborates with leadership on fiscal management, resource allocation, and budget considerations. Participates in performance improvement, patient satisfaction, and quality initiatives. Conducts team meetings and promotes a positive, accountable work environment. Ensures compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards. Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams. Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive information. Supports organizational initiatives and adapts to changing priorities. Responds to staffing needs, including supporting other Carilion facilities as required.

Compensation Range: $39.00 - $62.40. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
