Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• 2+ years of RN experience in a relevant setting.
• Current Texas RN license or reciprocity within 90 days.
• BLS certification active throughout employment.
• AAP Neonatal Resuscitation completed within 3 months of hire and maintained.
• ACLS and department-specific trainings completed as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor clinical staff; participate in performance appraisals and training.
• Ensure adequate staffing and coverage for assigned units.
• Coordinate orientation and ongoing education for team members.
• Plan, direct, and provide high-quality postpartum nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions; document and communicate changes promptly.
• Support quality initiatives and infection control practices.
• Mentor learners and interns; lead department projects as needed.
