Responsibilities

• Lead a team of direct care providers to ensure medications, treatments, documentation, family teaching, care planning and patient care conferences are in line with policies.
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care and ensure continuity from admission to discharge.
• Visit residents daily to observe emotional and physical status and notify appropriate leaders of changes.
• Identify problems and emergencies and initiate lifesaving actions when physicians are unavailable.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
