Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• One year in clinical discipline with leadership experience.
• Virginia RN license.
• OBGYN: EFM NCC certification.
• Life Support: BLS-HCP.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as team leader and clinical resource person for the PCU.
• Lead and coordinate staff, resolve routine issues, and ensure productive, fiscally responsible operations.
• Communicate with management and participate in performance evaluations.
• Schedule and monitor staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Provide direct patient care to high-acuity medical-surgical patients as assigned.
