Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Venice, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our oncology team. You will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care across the unit, coordinating with nurses and pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida RN license, with 2+ years in hematology/oncology, CPR and BLS, and excellent English communication. Travel to clinics may be required.

Competenze

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Florida; Certification of OCN, preferred.
• At least two years of experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid Florida driver's license for travel to clinics.
• BLS required upon hire or within 30 days; FCS will provide BLS course in first 30 days.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall nursing care and functions.


• Coordinate the activities of the unit and direct, organize, and assign work to the nurses and pharmacy technicians.


• Assess, monitor, and educate the nursing staff on patient care.


• Institute emergency procedures as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Florida; Certification of OCN, preferred.


• At least two years of experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is required.


• Position also requires fluency in the English language well as excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills.


• Current CPR certification required.


• Valid Florida driver's license for travel to clinics.


• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
