Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a System Float Labor & Delivery RN for the BestChoice/MISS float pool. The contingent RN will float to a variety of settings across the system, working days with flexible scheduling and minimal commitment.

This role emphasizes work-life balance and exposure to diverse clinical environments within HFHS. The program offers online self-scheduling, a retirement plan with match, referral bonuses, and the chance to be part of one of the nation's leading health care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Graduates from an accredited school of nursing considered.
• 2-3 years of recent clinical nursing experience in applicable practice areas.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations across Henry Ford Health System.
• Ability to develop effective nursing care plans and communicate with patients and families.

Contingent- 72 hours per month

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

Best Choice/MISS is a system-wide, contingent, float pool which offers the opportunity for an RN to work in a variety of settings throughout Henry Ford Health. Nurses working with us have the unique benefit of being exposed to various settings throughout Henry Ford Health because they float to where staffing needs are identified. This may be ongoing to fill an employee's hours that is on a leave of absence, call- ins, increase of census or to cover vacation requests.BestChoice/MISS offers flexibility, which allows an RN work-life balance, as your schedule is based around how often you want to work and requires minimal commitment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.


• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.


• Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.


• Willingness to float to multiple locations.


• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.


• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.


• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.


• Current BLS


• Current ACLS, NRP, C-EFM (Inteleos or NCC)
