Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgical Stepdown. The role is a day shift, full-time position at 36 hours per week, located at 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for experienced RNs. The role requires MO RN licensure (or compact licensure) and relevant nursing education, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or possess compact licensure.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
