Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit in Missouri. The role follows the nursing process to deliver safe patient care, maintain patient rights, and coordinate with other departments. You will be professionally accountable for the care of assigned patients and evaluate care effectiveness across the unit.

Night shift, full-time, 36 hours per week, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs. Required BSN or RN license in MO or compact, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, BSN.
• Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current RN license in MO or compact.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred depending on unit.
• Certifications: BLS certification required or to be completed within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall care effectiveness by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
