Qualifications

Role Overview:

Provides direct, high-level nursing care in a technically complex Progressive Care Unit (PCU), utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

Prioritizes patient safety and outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration, models proficiency by precepting new staff, and contributes to a culture of quality and safety. Supports specialty education and competency validation, working within AACN’s Synergy Model standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license, and have at least 6 months of ICU or PCU experience or completed a fellowship. Certifications required include ACLS and BLS (through AHA or Red Cross). Demonstrates strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.
