Job description

$15,000 Sign On Bonus for experienced RN

No Contract!

5CD Surgical Observation Unit

Shifts available: Days Full Time, Nights Full Time

Newly Established Unit
This new 26-bed unit serves short-stay patients in the observation, extended recovery and discharge-decision process immediately after surgery, as well as those who require a longer recovery time. Only experienced RNs will work on this unit, in 12-hour shifts, alongside Oklahoma’s top surgeons while managing the pre- and post-op care of complex disease processes.

Here you will encounter drains, wound vacs, and NGTs as patients recover from procedures such as colon resections, urological procedures, hysterectomies, jaw reconstructions, hernias, cholecystectomies, bariatrics, thyroidectomies and appendectomies. We also have Med/Surg overflow so you will likely care for patients with medical diagnoses such as UTI, diabetes, ileus, small bowel obstruction, or infectious processes.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current Oklahoma License.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS/PALS required and can be obtained/recertified during orientation. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
  • Preferred Education: BSN
  • Preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year Med Surg experience
