Job description

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for experienced RNs

No Contract!

Unit: 5CD Surgical Observation Unit

Shifts Available: Days Full Time, Nights Full Time

Unit Description: This newly established 26-bed unit serves short-stay patients in observation, extended recovery, and discharge-decision processes immediately after surgery, as well as those requiring longer recovery times. Only experienced RNs work here, in 12-hour shifts, alongside Oklahoma's top surgeons, managing pre- and post-op care for complex disease processes.

Patient Care: You will encounter drains, wound vacs, NGTs, and care for patients recovering from procedures such as colon resections, urological procedures, hysterectomies, jaw reconstructions, hernias, cholecystectomies, bariatrics, thyroidectomies, and appendectomies. The unit also handles Med/Surg overflow, caring for patients with diagnoses like UTI, diabetes, ileus, small bowel obstruction, or infectious processes.

Qualifications:

  • Current Oklahoma License
  • BLS, ACLS/PALS certifications (can be obtained/recertified during orientation), required before independent patient care

Preferred Education: BSN

Preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year Med Surg experience
