Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH seeks an RN for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. You will provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing major surgical procedures, monitor and update care plans, and communicate patient conditions with the care team.

This full-time daytime role requires an accredited nursing degree (BSN preferred), active RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS is required within the first year if in a Critical Care area. Relocation and tuition support available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• BSN preferred for this role.
• Current state RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within first year in a Critical Care area.

About This Role

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience required

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first year if in a Critical Care area
