Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
• 1 year recent acute care experience and/or previous nursing practice experience
• Current California RN license required
• Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required
• Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
• If operationally able, will consider training opportunities for those with less than 1 year of acute experience

• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data and follows the plan of care
• Formulates a plan of care for individual needs and participates in planning routine transitional health care
• Adapts educational programs to individual patients and families during care delivery
• Ensures efficiency in delivery of care and determines immediate priorities
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge from education and experience
• Actively advocates for patient rights and seeks conflict resolution when needed

• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate

• Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)

• Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care

• Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems

• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience

• Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict

Pay Range

$54.43 - $73.98 /hour
