Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification through AHA or Red Cross within six months of hire.
• Completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program (if applicable).
• BSN preferred; Previous OR experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions including instrument selection and handling.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor, record, and communicate patient condition; manage overall nursing care during perioperative period.
• Prepare the OR, instruments and equipment for use and assist the surgeon during procedures.
