Job summary

Baptist Health seeks an RN with strong budgeting and procurement skills to lead Surgery Fiscal & Logistics. The Manager will oversee financial reporting, capital budgets, inventory control and vendor relations, coordinating with OR leadership and hospital operations.

This full-time role requires an active RN license and 5+ years in OR and purchasing/surgery management, with proficiency in data analysis, pricing, and clinical workflows.

Highlights

Summary: The Manager, Surgery Fiscal Logistics (RN) shall be responsible for providing requested financial reports. This includes, but is not limited to, capital budgets and requests, monthly variance reports, budget information, inventory and supply issues. This individual shall maintain good working relationship with managers. The Manager shall maintain professional relations with vendors in order to provide competitive pricing and introduction of new technology. Additionally, the Manager shall coordinate logistical functions within the facility under the supervision of the Director, providing communications with the managers and users, maintaining appropriate levels of medical supplies and distribution of said supplies to the appropriate areas, assists with the acquisition of new technology, and attends PVAT meetings to ensure system use of products and budget and cost reductions. The Manager will coordinate in-services for equipment and products as needed in conjunction with education. The Manager shall maintain the integrity of materials acquisition, receiving, and distribution of supplies as well as accurate pricing in the inventory management piece and HST software (current scheduling, coding, and billing). This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Minimum 5 years OR experience required. Minimum 5 years Purchasing or Surgery experience (management level), and previous extensive Vendor knowledge required.

License / Certification

Active RN license required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Significant personal computer experience using Word, Excel, Power Point, etc., required
• Ability to perform financial analysis and create spreadsheets is a must
• Database creation and maintenance is essential
• Leadership skills required
• Analytical skills to prioritize work tasks and excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are necessary

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Position requires sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
