Job summary

Baptist Health is actively seeking an RN in the Physician Practice to provide direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care under supervision, and to lead a care team.

The role includes participation in quality improvement, in-services, and customer service, with required RN licensure and BLS; CNOR and ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on department. This is a full-time position at Central Alabama Women's Care - South.

Qualifications

Highlights: Summary

The RN - Physician Practice shall render direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Managers or other assigned leaders, as well as to serve as a leader of a team engaged in giving nursing care. This individual shall participate in quality improvement, in-services, customer service, and have a clear understanding of the principles of aseptic technique, where applicable. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Membership in AORN encouraged.

License / Certification

Valid RN license required, BLS required, CNOR preferred, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon department assigned

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Position requires sitting (10%), walking (30%), standing (60%) of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and twisting. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds and pushing/pulling. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
