Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is seeking a qualified RN to join our recovery/OR teams. You will perform head-to-toe assessments, initiate orders with physicians, and educate patients on medications and care plans. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration within a high‑quality care environment.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor preferred), active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong English communication skills. Endoscopy/OR/PACU experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN nursing skills required and CPR/BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing) required.
• Associates degree in nursing or higher; RN license required.
• Experience in PACU, OR or SDS environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient care quality and outcomes based on treatments.
• Maintains competencies and attends mandatory meetings.
• Reviews charts for orders and tasks at least every two hours.
• Initiates and signs off physician orders; conducts head-to-toe assessments.
• Addresses patient care issues and initiates corrective actions.
• Interprets lab, radiologic data and other diagnostics.
• Educates patients/families on medications, effects and side effects.
• Delivers treatments safely with proper technology and aseptic technique.

Job Description:

• Accepts responsibility for professional standards, including maintaining competencies and attending mandatory meetings.
