Job summary

AdventHealth Celebration in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families in a collaborative environment.

The position offers a clinical ladder program, sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and relocation assistance for eligible candidates, with a day shift and full-time schedule; Florida licensure and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Florida and BLS required.
• 1+ year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively across physiological, psychological and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and monitor effects.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Document all care activities and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

Job Description:

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus and $3,000 Relocation Assistance available to eligible candidates (see terms below)

Terms: 12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Sign-on Eligibility:

• One (1) year of applicable experience
• Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible

Relocation Eligibility:

• Must live 50 miles outside of campus address
• Rehires that are less than 12 months from separation date are not eligible

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours
• Days, 4/10's with on-call requirements for overnight and weekends

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
