Job summary

Logan Health in Kalispell, MT seeks a Night Shift RN Surgery Circulator to support the Operating Room with patient advocacy, surgical coordination, and teamwork during high-stakes procedures.

This role requires Montana RN licensure, 1+ year perioperative experience, CPR/BLS, and strong communication. Part-time 24 hours/week with night and weekend differentials offers a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license
  • 1+ year RN experience in hospital/clinic setting
  • Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification as required by service line
  • Knowledge of nursing theory and standards of practice; medical terminology
  • Infection control, HIPAA, OSHA compliance
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized patient care using the nursing process
  • Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
  • Transcribe and implement provider orders

Location: Logan Health Medical Center - Kalispell, Montana

Shift: Night Shift - 12 Hours | Part-Time - 24 Hours

Position Details:

$3.75/hour Weekend Shift Differential Pay (if applicable)

$2.25/hour Night Shift Differential Pay (if applicable)

As an RN Surgery Circulator , you'll play a critical role in patient advocacy, surgical coordination, and team-based care - supporting patients through some of their most vulnerable moments while collaborating with skilled surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow perioperative professionals.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety and infection control in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Accurately transcribe and implement verbal and written provider orders
  • Monitor, assess, and report changes in patients' physical and mental condition
  • Anticipate patient needs and coordinate timely interventions during surgical procedures
  • Document all patient encounters clearly and thoroughly in accordance with organizational standards
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding surgical care and recovery
  • Remain calm and effective during changing workloads, prioritizing care and seeking assistance when appropriate
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance as scheduled by department leadership
Required Qualifications
  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana
  • 1+ year(s) of RN experience in a similar medical setting (hospital, clinic, or physician office)
  • Healthcare Provider CPR and/or BLS certification , as required by service line
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Professional nursing theory and standards of practice
  • Medical terminology
  • Infection control procedures and universal precautions
  • HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations
  • OSHA rules and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree
  • 2+ years of RN experience in a similar medical setting (hospital, clinic, or physician office)
  • Prior experience in the Operating Room or surgical services
  • Additional certifications relevant to perioperative nursing or assigned specialty area
