Job summary

Little Colorado Medical Center in Winslow, AZ is seeking a Surgery RN to support the OR, PACU and surgical suite under the supervision of the OR Nurse Manager and Chief Nursing Officer. You will assess, monitor, and care for patients and help maintain an aseptic and safe environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, 6 months OR experience preferred, current RN license, BLS, and proficient EMR use.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing.
• 6 months clinical experience and recent OR experience preferred.
• Moderate computer skills and EMR use required.
• Current or Compact RN License.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• NRP, ACLS, PALS

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide care for patients in the OR, PACU, and operating room.
• Admit, treat, discharge or transfer patients throughout the surgical process.
• Maintain an aseptic and safe environment for the surgical team.

Description

The Surgery RN is under the supervision of the OR Nurse Manager, Nursing Managers and Chief Nursing Officer. The surgery nurse is responsible for the assessment, monitoring, care, and safety of the patient while in the OP, PACU and OR. He/she anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. The surgery nurse admits, treats, and discharges tor transfers the patient during the entire period while the patient is in the surgical suite

Requirements

• Education: Graduate from accredited School of Nursing


• Experience: 6 months clinical experience and recent clinical experience in OR, circulating- preferred


• Specific Skills: Nursing


• Computer Skills: Moderate Computer skills and EMR required


• Licenses: Current or Compact RN License


• Certifications: BLS- required upon hire


• NRP, ACLS, PALS
