Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking an RN Supervisor Nursing for a day shift (11:00am–8:00pm). This full-time role leads nursing staff, ensures high-quality patient care, and coordinates resources across the unit.

Qualifications

• RN Supervisor Nursing requires current RN license in Oklahoma.
• Nursing leadership and patient safety emphasis.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement staffing plan for shift based on patient acuity and census.
• Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems and provide real time feedback.
• Support efficient use of staffing resources to meet patient care needs.
• Document incidents and communicate with managers and directors promptly.
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to resolve problems fairly.
• Provide guidance and timely feedback to staff and participate in performance evaluations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adherence to infection control procedures.
• Contribute to annual department goals and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement staffing plan for shift based on patient acuity, patient census and available staff.
• Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems. Participates in patient and safety rounding and provides real time feedback to staff.
• Assist staff to efficiently utilize staffing resources to meet patient care requirements and other professional responsibilities.
• Provide for immediate follow-up, documentation and communication of incidents to appropriate manager and director.
• Anticipate actual/potential problems that may occur on their shift and sets shift priorities accordingly. * Work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff to solve problems in a fair, consistent manner.
• Provide support, guidance and feedback to staff; Give ongoing timely feedback, verbal and written anecdotes, to staff on performance. Written anecdotes are passed on to the nurse manager or director to be used as part of performance evaluation.
• Assist staff to provide a safe work environment for patient care.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of the annual goals for the department.
• Consistently and independently follows established safety and infection control procedures. Intervenes in unsafe situations.

The RN Supervisor Nursing's management of the delivery and documentation of patient care includes, but is not limited to:

• assessment/re-assessments.
• development of the plan of care.
• implementation of appropriate patient care interventions.
• evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher. BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma.
• RN experience working in the specialty area(s) identified is preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
