Job summary

Outreach Development Corporation in Roosevelt, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to oversee health services for clients, provide on-call coordination, and supervise the nursing team.

The ideal candidate is a NYS RN with experience in substance abuse settings, strong leadership and communication skills; familiarity with Medicaid compliance and AVATAR EHR is a plus. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually for an on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must be a NYS Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting or with special populations.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Experience with AVATAR electronic health records is a plus.
• Flexibility in scheduling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medication, including intramuscular injections, as ordered by MD.
• Conduct substance abuse assessments to determine appropriateness for treatment.
• Follow up on health-related referrals and track patient health issues.
• Provide patient education and counseling on health-related issues.
• Provide staff education around health-related issues.
• Complete documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in staff meetings, case conferences and unit meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid plan and agency policies.
• Coordinate care with clinical staff and act as health care liaison.
