Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of UnitedHealth Group/OptumCare, seeks a Nurse Supervisor in Texas to oversee ambulatory care departments. You will guide nursing staff, ensure patient safety, and maintain regulatory compliance across locations in Houston.

The role requires an active Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS as needed, and prior supervisory experience in ambulatory care. Excellent collaboration and documentation skills are essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accountable for planning and oversight of department staff activities related to patient care, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to fiscal budget, policies, procedures, standards and regulations


• Works collaboratively with others at all levels of the organization to create an environment of excellence, trust, and continual learning


• Must be informed and maintain generalist nursing skill proficiency/competency in all aspects of clinical nurse responsibilities in an ambulatory care setting


• Scope of responsibility will include single or multiple departments and /or 4 - 10 providers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or 4+ years of supervisory/management experience


• RN from accredited nursing program


• Active, current Texas license


• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider)


• ACLS or ability to obtain within three months


• PALS certification if supervise pediatric department or ability to obtain within 6 months


• 4+ years of clinical RN experience with at least 2+ years of progressive supervisor/management experience


• Personnel management and clinical management experience


• Proficient keyboarding and basic computer skills


• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for a selected patient population


• Ability to use mechanical devices, such as those used in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in nursing or related field


• Nurse Certification in work related field or ability to obtain within one year


• PALS certification


• CPR Instructor certifications


• Refined public relations experience


• Verbal and writing expertise


• Experience with EPIC system

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
