Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking a Per Diem RN I to deliver direct nursing care and ensure patient safety and comfort in alignment with professional standards. This role supports a multi-specialty site in the Houston area within the Optum family of care.

The position offers meaningful patient impact and exposure to coordinated care initiatives. The role requires a Texas RN license, graduation from an approved RN program, current BLS, and CRT experience, with 1+ year RN work or new grad

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
• Valid and current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 1+ years of RN work experience or supervision for new grads (new grads' program in place).
• CRT experience.
• Ability to use equipment for CPR, oxygen administration and IV therapy.
• Willing or able to travel within a selected region.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills and ensure safety and comfort per standards.
• Work across 5 shifts per month, with additional holiday coverage as described.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Primary Responsibilities

• The Per Diem RN I is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards
• 5 shifts per month, 3 shifts per year the day before or after a clinic holiday, with minimum of 1 shift related to a winter holiday

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program
• Valid and current Texas RN license
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• 1+ years of RN work experience or experience as a KSC RN and the new grad's hiring department will provide direct supervision for 6 months and participate in the new grad preceptoring program
• CRT experience
• Demonstrated ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy
• Willing or ability to travel within a selected region

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in nursing
• Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned. Windows bases computer skills
• ACLS

The hourly pay for this role will range from $29 - $63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
