Job summary

Asbury Communities in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a PRN RN for night shift 11pm-7am on a per diem basis. The role emphasizes long-term care, strict safety standards, and close collaboration with physicians to ensure continuous resident care.

Responsibilities

• Work to ensure 24-hour continuity of care.
• Oversee medical records in the electronic health record.
• Conduct medical assessments of residents and determine when to call the physician.
• Oversee admission process of new or readmitted residents to the nursing care center, ensuring completion and timeliness of assessments and documentation.
• Provide medication or treatment guidance per established policies.

Job Description

• Work with your colleagues to ensure 24-hour continuity of care.
• Provide oversight of medical records in the electronic health record.
• Conduct medical assessments of residents and determine when it is necessary to call the physician.
• Oversee the admission process of new or re-admitted residents to the nursing care center, assuring resident assessment and documentation are complete and timely.
• Provide appropriate advice for medications or treatments by established policies.

Qualifications

• Current MarylandRegistered Nurse License
• RN experience for at least one year is required for per diem status
• Active CPR certification
