Job summary

The Pediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte is a secure, acute care psychiatric unit serving patients typically ages 5–17 and providing 24/7 stabilization and treatment.

As an RN on this unit, you will lead nursing care through the nursing process, apply evidence-based practice, and collaborate with the team to maintain a safe environment and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (preferred)
• Previous management experience (preferred)
• Behavioral Health Pediatric Experience and Supervisor Experience.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines
• Professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for the certification exam
• Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required by the department's nurse leader

Responsibilities

• As an RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and clear communication to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
