Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport is seeking a Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor. The RN supervisor will oversee nursing departments on assigned shifts, ensure quality patient care, and support patient flow within a major hospital system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• 3 years of acute Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nursing or Supervisory/Leadership experience is required.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut is required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the Nursing department on an assigned shift in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
• Ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care via the Nursing Process and promote a positive practice environment for RNs.
• Foster continuous quality improvement to enhance patient care outcomes and ensure patient flow throughout the organization.
• Provide leadership for multiple hospital departments in the absence of the RN unit manager.
