Job description

RN Supervisor - Part Time (Healthcare)

Responsibilities include:

  1. Communicate regularly with residents and their families about Plans of Care, PT, OT, and other treatment protocols.
  2. Participate in morning meetings to facilitate team communication.
  3. Address residents' questions regarding their care, treatment plans, and illness progression to ensure they feel safe and secure.
  4. Monitor and adjust residents' statuses based on changing needs and conditions.
  5. Organize and prioritize daily tasks by assessing the needs of new, current, and discharging residents.
  6. Complete required documentation and perform utilization review activities for appropriate, timely, and cost-effective care.
  7. Coordinate care with residents, care providers, financial services, and third-party payers.
  8. Oversee admissions and discharges, and coordinate referrals.
  9. Relate positively and effectively with residents, families, staff, and colleagues.
  10. Ensure accurate charting and timely completion of paperwork.
  11. Work independently with sound judgment in interactions with physicians, providers, payers, residents, and families.
  12. Promote cooperation and collaboration among all parties involved.
  13. Manage time effectively in a high-volume, rapidly changing environment.
  14. Maintain intermediate computer skills and professional interactions with residents, families, staff, and partners.

Qualifications include:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Social Work; RN license preferred, LVN/LPN acceptable.
  2. Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
  3. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and related programs.
  4. Ability to read technical procedures, policies, and manuals.
  5. Effective presentation and communication skills.
  6. Mathematical and reasoning skills to solve practical problems.
  7. Valid LVN/LPN or RN license in the state of employment; CCM certification is a plus.
  8. Must maintain ongoing education and licensing requirements.

Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment is typically low to moderate noise, with accommodations available for disabilities.
