Job summary

Ryders Health Management is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for Bel-Air Manor in Newington, CT. This part-time role covers weekend or every-other-weekend night shifts (11:00pm-7:00am) with patient-centered care and unit oversight.

You will supervise nursing staff, perform resident assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor team members to maintain high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted CT RN license is required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing and supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform resident assessments and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff on shift to meet care standards and regulations.
• Perform or oversee resident assessments and monitor health status; coordinate with physicians and care team.
• Ensure accurate documentation of care plans, incident reports, and regulatory paperwork; handle shift handoffs.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges; support staff during staffing shortages or emergencies.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed (medications, treatments, IVs, specimens).
• Mentor and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs; serve as point of contact for staff and residents.
• Ensure unit compliance with facility policies and safety/infection-control standards.
