Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise nursing assistants in a long-term care setting. You will coordinate shift activities, administer medications, and ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

This role requires leadership, strong clinical skills, CPR certification, and collaboration with other departments to maintain a warm, safe, and compassionate environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulations that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file required charts and orders; transcribe physician orders; document care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with other departments and create a calm environment.
• Provide IV care and other professional nursing services as required.
• Monitor safety and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
