Job summary

Apple Rehab Middletown is seeking an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing services for residents in a 24-hour care setting. This role involves evening shifts (3-11), occasional Saturdays/Sundays, and on-call responsibilities, with rotation of holiday duties.

The supervisor will coordinate care plans, supervise charge nurses, and ensure regulatory compliance across local, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

Must hold a current state RN license and be a Registered Nurse in good standing.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Cooperation and teamwork in a clinical setting.
Long term care experience preferred.
Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices and related laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services for residents while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to maintain high-quality care.
Collaborate with Nursing Director to strategize operations and emergency support for shifts.
Coordinate nursing activities with medical requirements and physician directives.
Direct charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care.
Adjust care plans with medical staff to address emergencies.
In absence of superiors, assume operating decisions as needed.
Ensure relief staff availability and notify physicians of significant changes in patient condition.
