Job summary

Brattleboro Retreat seeks an RN Supervisor to provide hospital-wide supervision for inpatient and residential units, ensuring high-quality care for patients and residents. The role begins as a Temporary Inpatient Nursing Supervisor and will transition to nursing leadership for residential programs as openings occur.

Collaborating with charge RNs and MHWs, the supervisor will address medical, psychological and social concerns while maintaining safety and compliance across units.

Qualifications

• Vermont RN licensure or eligibility; Master's in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of three years in behavioral health setting.
• Two years of management experience required.
• Computer literate; able to complete formatted reports for executives, managers, and clinicians.
• Ability to triage and problem solve.
• Experience with behavioral health holds, seclusions, or involuntary medication events.

Responsibilities

• Supervise evening or weekend shifts to align with organizational goals.
• Promote patient safety and a customer service oriented culture.
• Coordinate with hospital-wide staff for timely decisions.
• Provide comprehensive verbal and written handoffs.
• Respond to behavioral emergencies and coordinate orders as needed.
• Maintain inpatient and residential unit policies and procedures.
