Ochsner Health System seeks an experienced nurse supervisor to lead care at the point of care in Slidell, LA. You will coordinate nursing interventions, supervise licensed staff, and collaborate with unit leadership to ensure quality patient care and smooth operations.

Requirements include an active Louisiana RN license, BSN, and BLS certification, with 1 year RN experience or 2 years as an LPN in acute care. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Qualificações

• Current RN license in Louisiana.
• BSN required; Magnet facility experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; or 2 years RN/LPN in acute care.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Administers medications, starts IVs, and discharges patients with the healthcare team.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and provides coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned departmental staff nurses and technicians.
• Promotes nursing protocols and evidence-based practice.
• Manages conflicts on shifts and collaborates with unit leadership as needed.
• Collaborates with quality, safety, and patient experience leadership.
• Supports daily clinical operations: scheduling, staffing, and supplies.
• Adapts communication to patient population while respecting privacy and preferences.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
