Job summary

Collar City Rehabilitation Nursing & Rehabilitation in Troy, NY is seeking an RN Supervisor for full-time day shifts with some flexibility in hours. The role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with nursing plans and quality standards.

The position requires an active New York State RN license and at least one year of clinical experience; blood draw and IV administration are a plus.

Qualifications

• A current New York State RN license.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Blood draw and IV experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervising or performing a broad range of nursing duties and providing direct care including various therapies, providing of medications, admission and discharge, education and other protocols.
• Conferencing with physicians, therapists and others to provide information or receive feedback for maintenance of nursing care.
• Supervising activities within the facility including personal care of residents, their hygiene, and related functions per the nursing plan.
• Providing guidance, instruction, coaching to the nursing staff to ensure duties are carried out properly and standards of care are maintained.
• Performing a full range of employee relations’ activities including orientation, training, retraining, discipline, communications.
• Monitoring unit activities and preparing documentation including outcome evaluations, incident follow through and other records.
• Conducting periodic reviews of nurse progress notes for in-house reports.
• Preparing and submitting monthly reports of unit activity to the director of nursing.
• Participating in unit quality assurance audits, investigations of incidents, and other supervisory activities.
