Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Supervisor of Nursing and Patient Care Services for the Burn Trauma, Intermediate Care—Medical/Surgical Unit. This leadership role supports the manager in overseeing daily patient care activities, staffing decisions, and inter-team communication.

New grads are welcome to apply, with an 11-week Transition to Practice program leading to a 6-month residency.

Qualifications

• BSN required or MSN preferred.
• RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of relevant nursing experience, 1 year of nursing leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the nursing department and support the manager in daily unit operations.
• Coordinate patient care activities and ensure high standards of care on the Burn Trauma IMC/medical-surgical unit.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and performance evaluations of clinical staff.
• Oversee staffing decisions, assign patient care, and ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations.
