This position is located in the Nursing Department of the LA Veterans Home in Jackson, Louisiana.

Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $33.91/hr,

Night Shift Vacancies (6:00pm - 6:30am)

PREMIUM PAY (per HOUR physically worked):

$4.00 work incentive pay upon hire

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS (per HOUR physically worked):

  • Shift Diff 2nd Shift (evening) - $4.50
  • Shift Diff 3rd Shift (night) - $5.50
  • Weekend Shift Diff - $2.50
  • Weekend Shift Diff 2nd Shift (evening) - $6.00
  • Weekend Shift Diff 3rd Shift (night) - $7.00
  • Holiday Shift Diff - $3.50
  • Holiday Shift Diff 2nd Shift (evening) - $7.00
  • Holiday Shift Diff 3rd Shift (night) - $8.00
  • Weekend Holiday Shift Diff - $4.50
  • Weekend Holiday Shift Diff 2nd Shift (evening) - $7.50
  • Weekend Holiday Shift Diff 3rd Shift (night) - $8.00

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum salary listed is the highest amount a person can earn over their career in this role and not the maximum pay for a new hire.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit/multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.
  • Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing plus two years of experience; OR
  • Master's degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience; OR
  • Doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience.
Function of Work:

To provide first-line supervision of nursing services in clinical, educational, or programmatic settings.

Level of Work:

Supervisor.

Supervision Received:

General supervision from an RN Supervisor B or higher.

Supervision Exercised:

Direct supervision over lower-level registered nurses, paraprofessional, and/or professional personnel.
