Job summary

Merwick Post Acute is seeking an RN Supervisor for part-time roles with 7a-7p every other weekend and 7p-7a every Sunday. Compensation is $45-52 per hour based on experience (all-inclusive).

The RN Supervisor will lead nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff to deliver safe, high-quality resident care in a 200-bed sub-acute/long-term care setting in New Jersey. Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in New Jersey.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR).
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, residents, families, and regulators.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws and standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritizing care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
