STERLING HEALTHCARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER is seeking an Every Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team in Delaware County. The role supports the DON and Unit Managers, coordinates nursing care, and ensures compliance with policies.

Pay is $50/hour, with hours split between 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm on weekends. Qualifications include RN licensure, CPR certification, and prior supervisory experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conveys accurate information to unit nursing staff in a supportive and courteous manner
• Seeks supervision and direction from physician as needed
• Completes nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation and administration, and vitals
• Conducts orientation for new employees on unit policies and procedures
• Assists medical doctor as needed
• Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings
• Adheres to HIPAA, confidentiality and licensing regulations, CPR, AED and First Aid
• Oversees and serves as a resource to direct care staff
• Supports DON and Unit Managers with staffing and activities
• Performs direct patient care when necessary

As the Every Weekend RN Supervisor the expectations would be:

• Conveys accurate information in supportive and courteous manner to unit nursing

• Seeks out supervision and direction from physician.

• Completion of nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals.

• Conducts orientation of new employees to unit regarding specific policies and procedures.

• Assist medical doctor as needed

• Attend and actively participate in departmental staff meetings.

• Knowledge of HIPAA laws, confidentiality, state licensing regulations, CPR, AED and First Aid.

• Oversight and serve as a resource to the direct care staff

• Support to the DON and Unit Managers with staffing and activities as assigned

• Direct patient care when necessary and/or assigned

Every Weekend RN Supervisor Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing is required and must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• CPR Certification

• Supervisory experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
