Job summary

Kingsway Community is a locally-owned senior living community in Schenectady, NY, seeking an experienced RN to oversee resident care and lead CNAs and LPNs. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure Department of Health compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.

The role requires RN licensure with 2–5 years in LTC, basic computer skills, and proficiency with MDS and care plans. Kingsway offers a strong benefits package and a supportive work-life balance.

Qualifications

• RN licensed and in good standing
• 2–5 years in long-term care
• Experience supervising CNAs and LPNs
• Knowledge of DOH regulations and policy adherence
• Basic computer knowledge and care plan process

Responsibilities

• Manage resident care and care plans
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs, including hiring/interviewing
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing to ensure DOH compliance
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
• Utilize basic computer skills and MDS proficiency

Requirements

• Candidate must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with 2-5 years' experience in LTC.
• Duties include, but are not limited to, managing resident care.
• Supervision of CNAs and LPNs including disciplining, interview and hiring.
• Candidate will work closely with Director of Nursing to ensure Department of Health compliance with regulations, as well as adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Basic computer knowledge, MDS proficiency and knowledge of care plan process is required.
