• Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred, depending on facility).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff to ensure resident care meets standards and follows care plans.
• Act as the nurse-in-charge during assigned shifts, resolving clinical and staffing issues as needed.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support.
• Assist with new staff orientation and ongoing training and development.
• Conduct shift hand-off reports and ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Perform and oversee comprehensive resident assessments and monitor for changes in condition.
• Administer and supervise administration of medications, treatments, and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in medical records.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Support residents and families in understanding care plans and addressing concerns.

Position Summary:

The RN Supervisor supports and enforces policies, trains and mentors staff, and serves as a clinical resource within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report incidents or changes in resident conditions per facility policy.
