Job summary

CHI Living Communities is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead safe and therapeutic resident care from admission to discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes nursing process utilization and serving as a clinical role model and resource person.

The RN Supervisor will oversee nursing services, coordinate with other departments, and ensure comprehensive care planning and documentation while maintaining professional growth and adherence to CHI

Qualifications

• Assure safe and therapeutic resident care using the nursing process.
• Currently licensed in the state of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and organized nursing services.
• Manage nursing care and coordinate services with other departments.
• Oversee resident assessments, care plans, and interdisciplinary care planning.
• Attend care conferences and implement remedial measures as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments, document appropriately, and accompany physicians on rounds.
• Notify physicians of changes in resident conditions and participate in committee meetings.
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
• Assist in staff evaluations, discipline, and ensuring adequate shift coverage.
• Conduct rounds, review medical records, and visit residents daily.
• Fulfill all in-service and educational requirements as mandated by CHI Living Communities.

TheRN Supervisoris accountable for the delivery of safe and therapeutic resident care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and other members of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Delivery of quality nursing care is assured through utilization of the nursing process. The goal of resident care is to restore and maintain each resident’s capabilities at their maximum mental and physical levels. The Nurse Supervisor serves as a positive clinical role model for staff as well as a resource person.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient and organized nursing services.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state of employment.
• Currently certified in CPR.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
