Job summary

Summit Company is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to lead nursing services, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree, CPR certification, and at least 2 years in geriatric care with 1 year supervising. This evening shift role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years of direct care in long-term or geriatric settings.
• Minimum one year of nursing supervision experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must meet state licensure requirements with no disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services on assigned floors.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local regulations and facility policies.
• Reviews staff complaints and grievances and reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Maintains stock of medications, supplies, and equipment for resident needs.
• Assists in developing assessments of residents' nursing needs.
• Makes nursing and aide assignments and supports staff development.

  This is an EVENING Supervisor Position!

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.

• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.

• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.

• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.

• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.

• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.

• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Education and Experience:

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting

• Current CPR Certification.

• Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
